Having found that laminating our acrylic Marbles in glass (Glass-line) and shot blasting the reverse glass layer significantly enhances the 3d effect of the pattern, we are pleased to introduce direct sand blasting of the Marbles as an alternative option.
Ideal for applications where Glass-line would be over specifying, sand blasting the reverse of the Marble sheets produces the same stunning depth of pattern as with shot blasted glass but is a lower cost option.
Sand Blasting is particularly useful for either lighting or ceiling applications where a product's weight is a major consideration.
Sand blasting also reduces the translucency of the Marbles which can be beneficial in applications such as back bars where fittings, e.g. cables, need to be hidden behind the decorative surface.
